Continuing excellence in charitable work - Lakeridge Health Foundation

Did you know that Lakeridge Health Foundation was the first community charity, and the second charitable organization, in Durham Region to achieve the trust of the acclaimed charitable umbrella Imagine Canada?

That’s right! There are over 86,000 charities in Canada and only 287 have achieved this distinction. Back on January 19, 2017, Lakeridge Health Foundation received the distinguished accreditation from the Imagine Canada Standards Program, making us the first charity in Durham Region to uphold such a standard.

In 2023, Lakeridge Health Foundation was reaccredited. Set apart with a nationally recognized third-party verification of excellence in governance and non-profit management, we continue to uphold the standards to show excellence and compliance in five key areas of operations: board governance, financial accountability and transparency, fundraising, staff management and volunteer involvement.
