Giving Tuesday

Each year on Giving Tuesday, Lakeridge Health Foundation recognizes the community members and hospital staff who represent our most dedicated of supporters.

Today, on November 30, 2021 we presented our Hospital Champion, Community Champion, and for the first time ever, Youth in Philanthropy awards.

Following this success, the team pushed on to bring their total to nearly $62,000 to recognize another colleague, retiring ER veteran Dr. Rudy Vandersluis.

The family created an extremely successful 8-hour challenge event, Laps 4 Lakeridge, a daring winter bike ride that raised over $22,000 for mental health.

The first ever recipient was inspiring teenager Brooklyn Burger-Jacobs who raised nearly $82,000 to establish the Kelly Burger Legacy Endowment Fund in honour of her late mom. Brooklyn's outstanding effort and commitment to advancing cancer care is a true inspiration to community members of all ages.
